Companies in Czechia and Bulgaria showed great interest in Young Energy Europe kick-off events.
On February 27, the German-Czech Chamber of Industry and Commerce Abroad (CCI) organized an informational event for companies from various sectors. Representatives of the Ministry for the Environment as well as the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic held presentations. Stefan vom Schemm from the South-Westphalian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SIHK Hagen) and Janine Hansen (DIHK Service GmbH) introduced the concept of Young Energy Europe and the achievements of Energy Scouts in Germany. The event was rounded off by a practical presentation of measuring instruments, which were acquired by the CCI for the purpose of the project. When asked whether they would participate, a number of companies from Prague and Moravia responded positively.
In Sofia, the kick-off took place on February 28 with about 45 people attending. Among them representatives of Bulgarian and German firms as well as young professionals who will be able to participate in the training. The primary focus of the presentation of Young Energy Europe was on its practical implementation in companies and on the usage of measuring instruments. The Energy Scouts will be able to use a thermal imaging camera, a locating device for compressed air leakages or an amp clamp during the course of their energy saving project in their companies. Another event in Bulgaria will take place in Plovdiv on March 8.
