The first training sessions of the qualification Energy Scout will start by late June 2018 and 25 young employees from nine companies have already registered. “To meet the great interest, we decided to offer one course in each of the two main economic centers, Sofia and Plovdiv. By doing so, we achieve an optimal distribution of the participants and offer companies short travelling distances,” says Young Energy Europe Project Manager Krassimira Dimitrova from the CCI Bulgaria.
Among others, the plastic producer Philplast Ltd., the metal processing company MAT OOD and the IT service provider Pontech BG OOD registered employees for the qualification. The companies use the opportunity not only to qualify their own workforce in the field of energy efficiency, but also to create added value for the company, to foster individual employee motivation and to protect the climate at the same time.
The next project step is the training of the lecturers. The Bulgarian lecturers will be trained in Sofia in mid-May based on experience gained from the German SME Initiative Energiewende and Climate Protection. Starting by the end of June, the lecturers will train the participants in the field of energy and resource efficiency for five days.
