Representatives of companies, municipalities and institutions met at an information event of the German-Greek Chamber of Industry and Commerce on March 19. Janine Hansen (DIHK Service GmbH) and Björn Athmer (Chamber of Industry and Commerce Munich and Upper Bavaria) presented the new approach of the European project Young Energy Europe and previous experiences with Energy Scouts in Germany. The Energy Scout qualification will be adapted for Greece before the training starts in autumn. Seminars will take place in Athens and Thessaloniki.
The companies were primarily interested in the topic of renewable energies, aspects of the practical implementation of the qualification and the training content in the thematic areas of energy efficiency, resource efficiency and mobility. In this context, Alexios Adamopoulos – a graduate of the EUREM-qualification for European EnergyManager and author of a Greek manual for energy audits – reported about typical energy efficiency measures in Greek companies.
The next steps will be revising the training material, choosing the trainers and organizing the first seminars. Among others, the Greek Media BusinessNews und Capital.gr reported on the workshop.
