Bulgarian Energy Scouts take a close look at the production line

Four prospective Energy Scouts from Herti BG, a medium-sized manufacturer of screw caps in Bulgaria, are taking their first measurements within the framework of the Young Energy Europe project. After completing one of five training sessions by the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Plovdiv and Sofia, where the young employees have been trained in the handling of the measuring instruments, they went straight into the practical application.

Equipped with measuring devices such as thermal imager and compressed air leak detector, they searched for energy efficiency potentials in the production line, such as the optimization of compressors or possible hidden leaks in the compressed air system. In the next step, the team of Energy Scouts will document their results and design concrete suggestions for improvement, which will save energy and resources in the company.
