ID Logistics is an international contract logistics group with revenues of €3.7 billion in 2025. ID Logistics manages nearly 450 sites in 19 countries representing 10 million m² warehouse capacity operated in Europe, America, Asia and Africa, with 50,000 employees worldwide. With a customer portfolio involving distribution, e-commerce, fast-moving consumer goods, cosmetics and fashion, ID Logistics is characterized by its high-tech offerings.
Energy Scout Maciej Korzeniowski is the Energy Manager and works in a warehouse in Poznań. During dock opening and loading operations, the Energy Scout noticed a gap between the docks, which negatively impacted the temperature maintenance in the warehouse, and consequently generated high heating costs. The heating in the warehouse is fueled by natural gas and targets 18°C, so improvements in the insulation would lower the gas consumption.
The solution was an insulation material with high heat transfer parameters and non-flammable, which was a significant requirement for the warehouse.
The Energy Scout did research and calculations in ArcadiaThermo, a program used to calculate potential heat loss savings. By reducing the heat losses in this specific area by 95% for the heating period of October-April, the results were so positive that the company is gradually implementing this solution in many locations, including those abroad, such as Germany.
