Young Energy Europe at the 9th EUREM Conference in Prague

The international network of European EnergyManager held their yearly expert meeting at the EUREM Conference.

On November 6 and 7, the Czech Republic hosted the conference for the third time in Prag. The EUREM Meeting aims to inform about current trends and results in the field of energy efficiency in companies. New developments and best practice solutions are presented and discussed in a number of lectures and workshops. The conference endes with the presentation of the international EUREM Awards 2018.

Young Energy Europe took part in the workshop “Energy Audits, Energy Management and ISO 50001” with a lecture by Mária Boros-Huber, Managing Director of the German-Hungarian Knowledge Centre (DUWZ) and Janine Hansen, Head of Project Young Energy Europe. Together they introduced the results of the project in the four participating countries Bulgaria, Greece, Czech Republic and Hungary. in these countries, young professionals can attend a seminar to identify energy efficiency potentials in their companies and contribute to saving energy and resources by designing energy efficiency projects tailor-made for their companies.

In all four countries, employees from a wide range of industries have taken part in the training courses this year and are currently in the process of practical implementation or evaluation of their projects. The next round will begin in 2019 with new energy scouts motivated to help climate protection in their companies.
